Universal Music joins hands with eSports company

COLOGNE: The Central European division of Universal Music Group (UMG) have announced a multi-year partnership with ESL Gaming, the world’s biggest eSports company that will be managed out of UMG’s Berlin headquarters.

The aim of the agreement is to exclusively help Universal discover and promote new artists through ESL’s global tournaments and channels. In an industry first, UMG will partner with ESL to create the ultimate destination for gaming and music fans alike to experience the official soundtrack of the world’s esports leagues and tournaments.

Tencent announces India’s biggest eSports tourney
NEW DELHI: Tencent Games, the world’s largest gaming company by revenues, Friday announced the launch of India’s biggest eSports Championship, ‘PUBG MOBILE Campus Championship 2018’.  Tencent Games will partner together with OPPO India and run the mega eSports tournament for a month from 26th September to 21st October, culminating in the grand finals to be held in Bangalore.
