MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council has reportedly simplified the process of electing the ICC's next chairman, which is scheduled for November-December.
Greg Barclay of New Zealand is the current ICC chairman.
As per the recommendation made by the board, the contestant getting 51% of votes will be declared elected, Cricbuzz reports. Broken down, in a 16-member board, a potential candidate needs the backing of nine directors as opposed to the two-thirds majority (11 votes) required earlier.
