Hero Caribbean Premier League

THE FIXTURES FOR THE 2022 HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and the inaugural Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) have been confirmed. The tournament will visit St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago and culminate in the final in Guyana.

The 2022 edition of the CPL is set to kick off with the inaugural match of the WCPL between Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Royals on August 31 in St Kitts & Nevis.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados: The Hero Caribbean Premier League has confirmed plans of holding the CPL, scheduled to take place between 19 August and 26 September, entirely in Trinidad and Tobago.

PORT OF SPAIN: With no live sport currently available as the world attempts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has partnered with cloud video production platform Grabyo to create an innovative content experience for cricket fans.  From next week, CPL will be broadcasting classic matches from the last seven years of the tournament, but with a twist.

BARBADOS: The broadcasters for the Hero Caribbean Premier League have been confirmed for the 2019 tournament with deals with key partners in place in India, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, America, Canada and  South Africa.  In South Asia (excluding Pakistan and Sri Lanka) CPL has a broadcast deal in place with Star Sports that covers India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives.

BRIDETOWN, Barbados: Following the exit of fugitive Indian businessman Vijay Mallya, the Barbados Tridents have a new ownership team in place who have taken over the running of the franchise with immediate effect. The USA-based CMG Companies (CMG) leads a team of local and international investors in the acquisition of the cricket franchise in Barbados.

MUMBAI: The final list of players who have signed up for the Hero Caribbean Premier League Draft 2019 has been announced on the CPL website.  A record 536 players from 20 overseas countries and the West Indies are available to be picked by the six franchises.

MUMBAI: Hero Caribbean Premier League franchise St Kitts & Nevis Patriots will be under new ownership for the upcoming CPL. City Sports, Hong Kong - part of the City Group of companies, bought the franchise from businessmen Uday Nayak and Mohammed Ansari, who owned the team in partnership with the government of St Kitts & Nevis.
