DALLAS, TX: Pickleball, billed as America’s fastest-growing sport, is going after a new frontier - India. The United Pickleball Association (UPA), which was created after a merger between Major League Pickleball and the Professional Pickleball Association in the US last February, and India-based Global Sports have inked a deal to bring the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball to the country.

As a part of the partnership, the organizations will launch key initiatives to the country, promoting the rapidly-growing sport to a young market.

LAUSANNE: World Archery has announced the Lockdown Knockout, the first remote archery competition to be streamed live on the federation’s digital channels. Eight compound archers – four men and four women – will be invited to take part in the first edition of the tournament, which will start with a qualification period on 1 May and matchplay following on 9-17 May.

NEW YORK: LaLiga North America, Uninterrupted and the Women’s International Champions Cup are bringing together world class athletes from the NBA, NFL, LaLiga, and NWSL to compete in the Kick Covid FIFA20 tournament.  The event will take place April 25-26 and will raise funds for Feeding America during the coronavirus pandemic.
