The merger scheme between Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) Viacom18, its wholly owned subsidiary Digital18 and The Walt Disney Company’s Star India has been admitted by the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). In an order passed on May 7, Viacom18, as part of internal restructuring, has proposed to transfer the various businesses conducted by it into its wholly-owned subsidiary, namely Digital18. Viacom18 proposed to be the holding company for the various businesses.

PANJIM: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties worth over Rs 40 million belonging to four former office bearers of the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), including its past president Dayanand Narvekar. NEW DELHI: Mohammed Shami, in all likelihood, will find himself back in the list of centrally contracted players if the report filed by the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) head Neeraj Kumar absolves him from any wrongdoing as per the board’s code of ethics.  Once the report comes out, the onus will be on Delhi Daredevils to decide on Shami’s participation in the Indian Premier League.

BENGALURU: Former Indian cricket team captain Rahul Dravid has lodged a police complaint against a Bengaluru-based firm for allegedly cheating him of Rs 40 million.  "Dravid had lodged a complaint with us two days back against Vikram Investment Company for cheating him of Rs 4 crore (Rs 40 million)," Sadashivanagar police inspector Naveen told PTI here.
