The BCCI has made clear that the question of Team India going to Pakistan for next year's ICC Champion's Trophy is dependent on the Union government granting permission.

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla told ANI on Monday that the Indian cricket board will follow the Centre's directives on the matter.

“In the case of the Champion Trophy, we will do whatever the government of India will tell us to do. We send our team only when the government of India gives us permission. So, we will go according to the decision of the Indian government,” Shukla said.

The Supreme Court has warned BJP leader Kalyan Chaubey that it would issue non-bailable warrants against him and strip him of his posts in the All India Football Federation and Indian Olympic Association for delaying the hearing of his petition that challenged the election of Trinamool Congress leader Sadhan Pande from Maniktala Assembly constituency. Chaubey is AIFF president and joint secretary of the IOA.
