MUMBAI: The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that the country would host the Indian cricket team in a five-match Test series in 2018. The teams will play three Twenty20 matches in July, followed by three one-day internationals and then Tests at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Trent Bridge, the Rose Bowl and The Oval. It will be India's second five-match series in England in 59 years.

MUMBAI: Broadcast revenue from the cash rich Indian Premier League will be shared between the BCCI and the franchises in a 60:40 ratio, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry told the Indian Express.

Qatar government owned sportscaster beIN Intellectual Property was asked to furnish financial details of its bid, but refused on grounds that it was a sovereign entity and was not required to do so.

NEW DELHI: Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla has recused himself from the upcoming media rights auction of the T20 League, to be held in Mumbai on 4 September, saying he has taken the decision 'for the sake of smooth IPL auction' as he faces allegations of conflict of interest.

MUMBAI: Riding on the success of the Indian women's team's performance at the recently concluded Women's World Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India plans to introduce India A tours for women's cricket and expand the U-16 domestic zonal tournament to the all-India level. The BCCI women's committee will meet on Wednesday to decide the road ahead for women's cricket in the country.

JOHANNESBURG: A prospective franchise owner of the upcoming Twenty20 Global League has "ended its interest", throwing a spanner in the works of Cricket South Africa's T20 ambitions.  CSA confirmed Friday that Brimstone Investment Corporation Limited (Brimstone) had withdrawn its commitment to owning the Stellenbosch franchise.
