On an unforgettable evening at the historic Palacio de Cibeles in the heart of Madrid, with media from across the world in attendance, Djokovic was named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record-equalling fifth time.

Rogers Cup aces attendance world record
MONTREAL: The Rogers Cup men's tennis tournament in Montreal set a world record for attendance at a one-week tournament. Tennis Canada said Sunday that 216,097 fans were on site throughout the tournament, which featured two of the current top three players in the world in Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, projected future World No. 1 Alexander Zverev and rising Canadian star Denis Shapovalov.

Tennis Integrity Unit flags 4 matches at Wimbledon, French Open
LONDON: Three matches at this year's Wimbledon and one at the French Open will be investigated by the Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) for potential match-fixing. The watchdog group did not specify which matches at Wimbledon had aroused concerns, but said that two took place during qualifying rounds, the earliest phase of the tournament, and that the third was during the main part of the competition.
