NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

BCCI donates Rs100m For Tokyo 2020-bound athletes' preparations

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Sunday pledged a donation of Rs 100 million for the training and preparations of country's Olympic-bound athletes. In a statement issued after the BCCI's 8th apex council meeting (emergent meeting) on Sunday, the Indian cricket board declared: "The summer Olympics is scheduled to be held in Tokyo from 23 July to 8th August 2021.

BCCI wins appeal against Rs48bn award for DC termination

India’s squad for ODI & T20I series against Sri Lanka announced

MUMBAI: The BCCI's all-India senior selection committee Thursday picked the Indian squad for the 3-match ODI series and 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, scheduled in the month of July.
