Chris Rock voices NBA campaign 'Playoff Mode. It’s a Thing'

The NBA has debuted its new campaign, "Playoff Mode. It’s a Thing", which is now streaming across all NBA's social platforms and on the NBA App. 

The campaign premieres on TNT during the 2024 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, which tips off with the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the New Orleans Pelicans, followed by the Golden State Warriors visiting the Sacramento Kings, as each team competes to secure a spot in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

3BL names final team rosters for inaugural season
MUMBAI: 3X3 Pro Basketball League (3BL), claimed to be India’s first ever FIBA recognised league, announced on Thursday the player draft for its maiden season.  15 additional standout Indian players have also been signed up, having participated in the trials in New Delhi, which featured 100 potential basketball players.

LeBron James to co-produce HBO sports docu on NCAA
OHIO: NBA superstar LeBron James’ production company, SpringHill Entertainment,  is all set to expand its wings further by co-producing a sports documentary titled ‘Student Athlete’, which will be aired on October 2 on HBO.  The announcement was made on Monday by Peter Nelson, executive vice president of HBO Sports.

NBA sponsorship spending crosses $1bn in 2018
NEW YORK: NBA’s sponsorship revenue has crossed $1 billion for the first time in the history of the league, courtesy an 8-year deal with top apparel maker Nike and the launch of 3-year test program involving jersey partners, as per a report by research and consulting firm ESP Properties, Chicago. The NBA recorded figures of $1.12 billion in 2017-18 in sponsorships, up by $259 million as compared to 2016-17.

Steph Curry likely to host PGA event: Report
SAN FRANCISCO: Basketball star Stephen Curry is in talks with the PGA Tour for a deal that would allow his management company to sell marketing and sponsorship deals for a golf event in the fall of 2019, ESPN reports.  The Safeway Open in California is said to be targeted as the event that Curry would host. A PGA Tour official confirmed that they were in talks with Curry regarding this deal.

India to host Basketball Without Borders Asia 2018 for the second time
NEW DELHI: NBA India announced on Friday that the event, Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia 2018 will be hosted in New Delhi at its academy, according to a PTI report. The NBA Academy India will be conducting the NBA and FIBA's global basketball development and community outreach program from May 30-June 2, marking the second instance of the event taking place in the country.
