SENTOSA, Singapore: The Asian Tour has inked a International Media Partner agreement with The Wall Street Journal.

As the latest international media partner of the Asian Tour, WSJ  will receive branding, customer engagement and hospitality opportunities at selected Asian Tour events.

The partnership with the US publication will also allow the Asian Tour to broaden its exposure internationally through its promotion across WSJ’s digital assets.

NEW DELHI: Discovery Communications branded sports channel DSport has secured the India rights for the 147th edition of the British Open, which tees off at the Carnoustie Golf Course, Scotland, on Thursday, 19th July, running through till Sunday, 22nd July. The historic course has seen golfing action from the early 16th century and is considered one of the toughest golfing venues in the world.

COLORADO:  The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) on Thursday announced the appointment of Sarah Hirshland as its 12th CEO. Hirshland is presenting serving as the chief commercial officer of the United States Golf Association (USGA). She will be replacing Susanne Lyons for the top job. Lyons was the acting CEO since February this year.

NEW DELHI: The 2018 edition of Hero Challenge, a night-golf event that precedes the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, will for the first-time be telecast live in India.  The Hero Challenge will take place from 12:00 am to 1:00 am on Wednesday July 11 and will be broadcast live across India on DSport, apart from European Tour’s platforms.

SENTOSA, Singapore:  The Asian Tour, official sanctioning body for men’s professional golf in the region, announced Wednesday that its chief executive officer, Josh Burack, has decided to step down. Citing family reasons for his resignation, Burack said he wants to travel less and spend more quality time with his wife and two children.
