MUMBAI: South Korean gaming company PUBG Corporation on Tuesday announced it had terminated its ties with China’s Tencent Holdings for its PUBG MOBILE franchise in India (emphasis ours). The move comes in the wake of the recent ban imposed on the game’s mobile version, both full and light, by the Indian government citing security concerns.

ATLANTA, Georgia: The Coca-Cola Company Thursday announced appointments for a number of senior roles leading the company’s new operating units and beverage category teams. The selections are part of the company’s broader reorganization, as first announced August 28. The company’s nine new operating units and five global category teams will be supported by the newly created Platform Services organization.

LONDON: City Football Group has announced that Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne (ESTAC), in France’s Ligue 2, has become its tenth club, following DNCG review of the acquisition.  This marks Abu Dhabi-owned CFG’s continued investment and expansion into global football and its strategy to develop clubs, players and academies and share knowledge across them.

BENGALURU: Unacademy, India’s leading learning platform, has raised an investment of $150 million in a round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2i. Existing investors General Atlantic, Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Facebook, and Blume Ventures also participated in the round. The latest funding round values Unacademy at $1.45 billion.
