United World Wrestling (UWW), which has been operating in lock-stop with the tainted Wrestling Federation of India for months now, has suspended vociferous WFI critic Bajrang Punia till the end of this year.

Reason? NADA's decision to hand him a provisional suspension for refusing to undergo a dope test. It bears noting that while the UWW has shown unseemly haste to take action against Bajrang, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), while aware of NADA's order, has sanctioned close to Rs 9 lakh ($10,800) for his training abroad.

NEW DELHI: Indian Premier League chairman Rajeev Shukla Media has confirmed media speculation doing the rounds recently that a mid-season transfer window would be introduced for the IPL from the 2018 edition.  While the mid-season transfer window is common when it comes to football, this would be a first for the IPL.

Though the BFI was recognised by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the Sports Ministry more than a year ago after elections conducted in September 2016, the IOA's nod came only on Wednesday.
