MUMBAI: Commentators empanelled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might soon be barred from writing columns if the Lodha’s Committee’s recommendations regarding conflict of interest come into effect, Times of India reports.  Strangely, said diktat would not apply to Hindi commentators presently in contract with Star Sports, the report further notes.

LONDON: The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has renewed broadcast deals in the Indian sub-continent, Malaysia and Indonesia. Sony Ten holds the PSA World Tour broadcast rights for the Indian subcontinent. The PSA played up the the renewal of its broadcast deal with Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad (Astro) until 2021 as Malaysia is a key market.

MUMBAI: Discovery Communications’ branded sports channel DSport has acquired exclusive broadcast rights of the upcoming ICC World XI tour of Pakistan. The World XI will play three day and night T20 matches with the reigning Champions Trophy winners  at Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium from 12 September.
