Puja Tomar becomes 1st India woman to sign on with UFC

India will soon have female representation in the UFC. Pro-MMA fighter Puja Tomar will become the first Indian woman to land a contract with the UFC, the biggest mixed martial arts promotion in the world, the 28-year-old strawweight confirmed on Tuesday.

The news was also confirmed by her management, First Round Management Europe.

No debut date or opponent was announced.

UFC names global licensing partner
