STATS taps ex-CTO of JPMorgan Chase to lead tech ops
CHICAGO: STATS, Sports data major STATS has expanded its executive roster with the introduction of Dr Helen Sun as chief technology officer.  Sun will oversee STATS’ product, engineering, artificial intelligence and data production teams in developing the next generation of products and services "that will revolutionize the performance and experience of sports", an official release states.

STATS signs 2-yr data analytics deal with USA Rugby
CHICAGO: Sports data company STATS announced on Wednesday its new partnership with USA Rugby, which will see them provide the national team with advanced analytical coverage for rugby competitions around the world.  The deal will also include competitions such as the Americas Rugby Championship and Major League Rugby.

STATS unveils advanced athlete monitoring tech
LONDON: Leading sports data  company STATS has unveiled STATS GPS, a system that uses a 50-Hz sampling frequency to provide what it claims is the most advanced real-time GPS technology available.   STATS GPS allows teams to monitor player performance with customizable metrics like accelerations/decelerations, energy expenditure, count of zone entries, and time, distance and power thresholds.
