PGTI inks landmark partnership with DP World, PGA Tour

NEW DELHI: The Professional Golf Tour of India has inked a historic partnership with PGA Tour and DP World Tour as the alliance provides a pathway for Indian golfers to the highest levels in the sport.

In addition there will be more international events for Indian golfers in India.

Tata Steel, PGTI announce 17th Tata Open Golf
JAMSHEDPUR: The Tata Steel Group and PGTI have announced the 17th TATA Open Golf which will be held here from Thursday running through to Sunday, 23 December.   The four-day tournament will be hosted at Steel City's Golmuri Golf Course here. The Pro-Am was played on Wednesday. The event offers a rich prize purse of Rs 10 million and constitutes the last leg of the 2018 PGTI season.

Inaugural Rs5m QA InfoTech Open tees off in Noida
NEW DELHI: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India, teed off the inaugural QA InfoTech Open at the Noida Golf Course Tuesday.  The event runs from Tuesday through to Friday.  The tournament, which is the 13th event of the PGTI’s 2018 season, carries a prize purse of Rs 5 million. The Pro-Am event is scheduled for September 15.

TAKE Solutions to sponsor PGTI event named after Jeev Milkha Singh
CHANDIGARH: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) has honoured ace Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh by naming a tournament, Take Open Golf Championship, after him. The Chandigarh leg of the domestic PGTI Tour will henceforth be called the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational Presented by TAKE Solutions.

PGTI revives Feeder Tour, ups prize money
NEW DELHI: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Thursday announced the revival of its Feeder Tour after a gap of four years with the first tournament slated to begin here on May 23 at the BSF Golf Club. The 2018 season will feature six events with a prize purse of Rs 800,000 each. The last time around, each of the six events carryied a prize purse of Rs 600,000 each, PTI reports.

NCR Open Golf Championship to make PGTI debut
NEW DELHI: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the official sanctioning body of professional golf in India, will be staging the inaugural Paramount Golf Foreste Delhi - NCR Open Golf Championship 2018 at the Noida Golf Course from April 17 – 20.  The tournament, which is the seventh event of the PGTI’s 2018 season, carries a prize purse of Rs 3 million. The Pro-Am event is scheduled for April 21.

PGTI tees off 2018 season with inaugural City Bank American Express Dhaka Open
DHAKA: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) teed off its 2018 season with the inaugural City Bank American Express Dhaka Open at the Kurmitola Golf Club here Wednesday. The event concludes on Sunday, 27th January. The season-opener worth BDT 5 million (approx. Rs 4 million) is tri-sanctioned by the PGTI, Asian Development Tour (ADT) and the Bangladesh Professional Golfers Association (BPGA).

PGTI to become an ‘Open Tour’ from the 2018 season
GURUGRAM, Haryana: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) is set to become an ‘Open Tour’ from 2018 onward. This would mean there will be no restriction on the number of foreigners on the tour once they earn their cards through the PGTI Qualifying School.
