NEW DELHI: The Union government on Thursday released new rules for online gaming, which prohibit any game that involves betting and wagering, and entail a framework of multiple self-regulatory organisations (SROs) to determine whether a real-money game is permitted or not.

There will be multiple self-regulatory organisations, and these SROs will have participation from all the stakeholders including but not limited to the industry.

MUMBAI: Leading Indian gaming company Nazara Technologies Ltd has set up a subsidiary - NZ World Kenya Ltd (NZ World) - through which it is looking to enter the ‘real money’ gaming market in the East African nation as well as other countries on the continent.    Nazara has a 70% stake in NZ World Kenya, with the rest being held by a local partner.
