US pro pickleball assn signs first international deal in India

DALLAS, TX: Pickleball, billed as America’s fastest-growing sport, is going after a new frontier - India. The United Pickleball Association (UPA), which was created after a merger between Major League Pickleball and the Professional Pickleball Association in the US last February, and India-based Global Sports have inked a deal to bring the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball to the country.

As a part of the partnership, the organizations will launch key initiatives to the country, promoting the rapidly-growing sport to a young market.

World Snooker C'ship 1st indoor event to allow spectators
LONDON: Snooker’s Betfred World Championship will pilot the safe return of spectators to sporting events, with a reduced crowd to be allowed at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield throughout the event.
