DALLAS, TX: Pickleball, billed as America’s fastest-growing sport, is going after a new frontier - India. The United Pickleball Association (UPA), which was created after a merger between Major League Pickleball and the Professional Pickleball Association in the US last February, and India-based Global Sports have inked a deal to bring the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball to the country.

As a part of the partnership, the organizations will launch key initiatives to the country, promoting the rapidly-growing sport to a young market.

NEW DELHI: World Archery (WA), the global governing body of the sport, will send a delegation led by its secretary general Tom Dielen to India next week to meet the newly-elected officials of the Archery Association of India (AAI), Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Sports Ministry, Press Trust of India reports. An AAI source said that Dielen has been invited by the AAI president BVP Rao for the visit.
