NFL names Accenture business & technology partner

NEW YORK: The NFL has unveiled a new five-year sponsorship deal with Accenture naming the US professional services firm as Official Business and Technology Consulting Partner of American football's top-tier league.  

Per an official release, throughout the five-year partnership, the NFL will harness Accenture's technology and data expertise to "help shape the future of football".

IAAF re-elects Coe, Sumariwalla for 2nd term
MUMBAI: IAAF president Sebastian Coe was elected for a second term at the 52nd IAAF Congress in Doha on Wednesday while Ximena Restrepo, Sergey Bubka, Geoffrey Gardner and Nawaf Bin Mohammed Al Saud were elected vice-presidents. All 203 voting members of Congress voted for Coe; there were no abstained votes.

Rugby WC kicks off in Japan to delight of fans in Europe, SA, NZ
TOKYO: The 2019 Rugby World Cup has kicked off in Japan. Twenty teams are competing for the title.  In the tournament's opener on Friday, host Japan easily defeated Russia 30-10.
