NEW DELHI: A total of 192 Indian athletes will be supported by the Target Olympic Podium (TOP) Scheme till the conclusion of the Asian Games in Jakarta in September.
The latest list of athletes under TOP Scheme was revealed by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has formulated a no-parents policy for the upcoming Asian Games, to be held in Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September.
This decision will be communicated to all IOA-affiliated sports associations.

MUMBAI: In a significant development, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, backed by IOA president Narindra Batra and International Olympic Committee member Nita Ambani, has informed IOC president Thomas Bach that Mumbai would be put forth as a candidate city to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2026 and 2032 Olympics.

LONDON: The International MMA Federation (IMMAF) and the World Mixed Martial Arts Association (WMMAA) have announced an amalgamation that will see the global unification of the sport of MMA.
An amalgamation agreement was reached between the heads of both organisations on 16 January and approved at general assemblies held by each party on 25 March and Tuesday, 10 April respectively.

NEW DELHI: Olympic Gold Quest has announced support to 2018 Asian Wrestling Championship Silver medalist and Olympian Vinesh Phogat.
23-year-old Vinesh currently competes in 50 kg category freestyle wrestling. Vinesh is a 2014 Commonwealth Games Gold medalist, 2014 Asian Games Bronze medalist and a 5-time Asian Championship medalist.

LAUSANNE: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Friday signed a long-term agreement establishing a partnership between the two organisations until at least 2032.
The new agreement builds on the current partnership and cooperation agreements that were signed prior to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
