MUMBAI: Match No. 32 of IPL 2022 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, which was shifted from MCA Stadium in Pune to Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai due to COVID-19 outbreak in the DC team, finally went ahead on schedule. 

The developments came even as a second overseas player of Delhi Capitals tested positive. This came just hours ahead of the team's game against Punjab Kings. 

New Zealand's Tim Seifert tested positive after a Rapid Antigen Test conducted on Wednesday afternoon, making it the sixth such case in the camp.

NEW DELHI: A member of the Delhi Capitals camp has tested positive for COVID-19. A statement from the franchise identified him as an assistant physiotherapist who returned two negative tests after his arrival in the UAE before returning a positive result on his third test. "He was yet to meet with, and had not been in contact with any players or staff of the franchise," the statement said.

NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry on Saturday issued directives that allow sports gathering of up to 100 people with effect from September 21 in its Unlock-4 guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the new set of guidelines, the ministry lifted the total ban on sports activities, which was earlier put in place till August 31.

LONDON: Turkey's Intercity Istanbul Park will host a Grand Prix for the first time since 2011 this year, after Formula 1 announced four more races have been added to the 2020 calendar. The Turkish Grand Prix will be run on November 15, just before a back-to-back double header in Bahrain, with the Bahrain Grand Prix on November 29 followed by the Sakhir Grand Prix on December 6.
