MUMBAI: Viacom18 Wednesday announced Yamaha as their co-presenting sponsor for the ongoing MotoGP season exclusively live-streamed on JioCinema and Sports18. 

The coverage tipped off with the Grand Premio de Portugal on March 26th. The network is offering an exhaustive live presentation that includes practice sessions on Friday and Saturday, qualifying and the Sprint on Saturday and the main race on Sunday.

LONDON: MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has announced GoPro as title sponsor for the British GP in 2018, with the camera company taking top billing at the event to name it the GoPro British Grand Prix.  Set for the 24th–26th August, the race weekend will once again take place at the stunning Silverstone Circuit – its home since 2010.

MADRID: Dorna Sports has extended for a further two years the longstanding relationship between Parts Europe and MotoGP’s commercial rights holder that first began more than a decade ago.  Parts Europe is part of the Le Mans Corporation founded by Fred Fox and based in Janesville, Wisconsin, alongside Parts Unlimited.

MADRID: MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has announced eyetime as title sponsor for the Austrian Grand Prix 2018, naming it the eyetime Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich.  Staged at the spectacular Red Bull Ring in the Styrian alps, the event will take place from the 10th to 12th August.

MADRID: Two Wheels for Life, the official charity of MotoGP, is launching a new initiative in 2018: the Million Euro challenge.  Working together with MotoGP teams, riders, the paddock, FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports, the goal is to raise the bar and meet the remarkable target of raising €1 million this season.

MADRID: Race distances in the FIM MotoGP World Championship will be adjusted from 2018, with a two-year transition beginning this season before final changes come into force in 2019. This is to ensure that races have a similar duration at each venue on the World Championship calendar, enhancing event organisation and aiding television broadcasters to better structure race day programming.

MADRID: MotoGP and Milestone have signed a contract renewal for the Italian developer to retain the licensing for the Official MotoGP videogame until at least December 2021.  Extending a partnership that began in 2012, this new agreement once again covers all console and PC platforms.
