United World Wrestling (UWW), which has been operating in lock-stop with the tainted Wrestling Federation of India for months now, has suspended vociferous WFI critic Bajrang Punia till the end of this year.

Reason? NADA's decision to hand him a provisional suspension for refusing to undergo a dope test. It bears noting that while the UWW has shown unseemly haste to take action against Bajrang, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), while aware of NADA's order, has sanctioned close to Rs 9 lakh ($10,800) for his training abroad.

A Bench comprising Justices SA Bobde and AM Sapre stated: "We are happy that by consent of the parties and the suggestions, the name of retired Justice DK Jain has been agreed to be appointed as the ombudsman in the BCCI.
