In a continuing travesty of governance norms in sports administration in the country, Karan Bhushan Singh, son of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the "former" (only as a fig leaf) czar of the Wrestling Federation of India, has assumed the presidency of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association (UPWA).
Karan, already serving as UPWA senior vice president, was "unanimously" elected to replace his father.
