CHANDIGARH: After facing intense criticism from fans over what was deemed to be double standards, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed that spectators will be allowed up to 50% capacity of the IS Bindra PCA Stadium, which hosts the first Test in the ongoing India-Sri Lanka series.

The Test is significant as it will be former captain Virat Kohli's Kohli's 100th in the whites for Team India.

Tickets went on sale starting Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: One thing that will be a constant during the ICC World Cup 2019, which takes place in the UK from May 30 to July 14, is a prominent India presence. And that presence will be on full display when India take on South Africa in its first World Cup fixture at Southampton on June 5, what with cricket fans and corporate groups all heading to England to be "in on the action".
