The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2022, which were due to be hosted in Guangzhou, China from 14 – 18 December, have been relocated to Bangkok, Thailand, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the sport’s governing body said Tuesday.
BWF in consultation with the Chinese Badminton Association agreed to relocate the World Tour Finals due to the various challenges brought about by the current pandemic situation in Mainland China.
BWF thanked the Badminton Association of Thailand for providing a replacement location for the World Tour Finals at such late notice.
