Anirban Lahiri

Anirban Lahiri, India’s top-ranked golfer, is joining the Saudi bankrolled LIV Golf Series and makes his debut in the $20 million tournament in Boston this week. 

Lahiri said his decision to join the LIV Series is an effort to achieve a "better work-life balance". The financial details of Lahiri’s Liv contract in the big money series have not been revealed. 

The latest list of joinees on Liv Tour include The Open champion Cameron Smith of Australia, Chile’s Joaquin Niemann and Americans Harold Varner and Cameron Tringale.

NEW DELHI: Anirban Lahiri has earned a berth to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as he was placed 60th in the Final Olympic Golf Rankings list which was published today. Lahiri, a former Asia No. 1 and two-time winner on the European Tour, will thus be playing his second successive Olympic Games. Anirban, a PGA Tour regular, had previously turned out for India along with SSP Chawrasia at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
