UEFA Women’s EURO 2022

LONDON: On the first day of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 here Wednesday, the United Nations is launching Football for the Goals, a new United Nations initiative that provides a platform for the global football community to engage with and advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

UEFA, which unveiled in December 2021 its own sustainability strategy "Strength through Unity" focusing on human rights and the environment, joins the initiative as its inaugural member.

NYON, Switzerland: With all 16 teams now confirmed for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, a major ticketing roadmap and legacy programme have been unveiled to illustrate how a record-breaking tournament that has the power to inspire the next generation of players and fans, will be delivered by the Local Organising Structure (LOS) of the English Football Association (The FA) together with UEFA.
