MUMBAI: Badminton star Saina Nehwal is in the Top 5 amongst the women athletes on ESPN’s ‘World Fame 100’ list for 2018.
Saina is 50th overall in ESPN’s ‘World Fame 100’ which is dominated by male superstars. But when it comes to women, Saina is the top-ranked Indian and ranked fourth after Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams.
Her resurgence after a career-threatening knee injury at the Rio Olympics 2016 has made her stock rise again, having endorsements worth $10 million and a social media following of 7.9 million people.
