MUMBAI: Kidambi Srikanth has netted a career-best ranking of World No. 2 after jumping two places in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings, released on Thursday. Srikanth, who reached five finals and clinched four titles this year so far, now has 73,403 points, 4527 point away from World Champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark, who heads the ranking list.

MUMBAI: Ace shuttler PV Sindhu has been named the first brand ambassador of tyre maker Bridgestone India, a subsidiary of the world’s largest tyre and rubber company and a Worldwide Olympic Partner. The Olympic Silver medalist has signed a three-year deal with the company, whose parent is one of the sponsors for the Olympics 2020 in Japan.

HYDERABAD: Badminton star PV Sindhu has accepted Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's offer of a Group-I officer job in the Andhra Pradesh government.  The state government is reportedly preparing orders for an appointment in the deputy collector grade.
