OSAKA, Japan: Panasonic Corporation has signed a brand ambassador agreement with professional women's tennis player Naomi Osaka. The period of agreement is two years starting from April 22. 

Panasonic sought the agreement with Ms Osaka after observing that her values and perspectives on society deeply resonate with its own management philosophy, primarily with regard to the following three points:

PARIS: World No.2 Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from Roland Garros. The reigning Australian Open champion announced her decision Monday on social media.    Before the start of the French Open, Osaka said she would not partake in post-match media during the tournament because of the toll it can take on the players' mental well-being.

PARIS: Naomi Osaka has been warned that she faces a default from the French Open if she continues to shun her media obligations. The world number two followed up on her unilateral declaration made on the eve of the tournament that she would not attend any press conferences at Roland Garros citing "mental health concerns" by doing just that following her first round win on Sunday.

PARIS: The Winners of the 2021 Laureus World Sports Awards have been unveiled at a digital awards ceremony from Seville, Spain. Among the highlights were a fourth Laureus Award for Rafael Nadal and second Laureus Award for Naomi Osaka and the Bayern Munich football team. MUMBAI: US Open champion Naomi Osaka is reportedly set to renew her sponsorship deal with German sportswear giant adidas, which is coming to a close at the end of the year, for an astronomical $8.46 million per year. The monster deal, reported by UK's Times, would be the third richest sponsorship deal in women’s tennis and the highest payout adidas has ever handed to a female tennis player.
