LAUSANNE: The Athletes' Commission (AC) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Wednesday received the full support of the IOC executive board (EB) for a set of recommendations in regard to Rule 50 of the Olympic Charter and Athlete Expression at the Olympic Games.
Rule 50 provides a framework to protect the neutrality of sport and the Olympic Games.

LONDON: A new initiative called ‘Global Athlete’ is set to be based out of the United Kingdom which aims to act like a trade union to empower men and women athletes in the world across Olympic and Paralympic Sports, BBC reports.
The development comes after recent scandals such as doping in Russia and sex abuse in the USA gymnastics team.
