Intercontinental Cup

NEW DELHI: India will host three top Asian nations at Bengaluru from July 7 to 18 for the second edition of Intercontinental Cup, the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) has confirmed via its Twitter account.

In a curios turn of events however, there has been as yet no official word on the tournament from the All India Football Federation (AIFF), which is hosting the tournament.  

The second edition of the Intercontinental Cup will see Tajikistan, Syria and DPR Korea battle each other and hosts India at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

NEW DELHI: Kenya has been roped in as a replacement for South Africa in the forthcoming Hero Intercontinental Cup after the South African Football Federation, in a letter to All India Football Federation, expressed their inability to participate in the four-nation tournament.

NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced the Mumbai Football Arena as the venue of the inaugural edition of the four-nation Hero Intercontinental Cup to be played from June 1 to 10.
