Michelin to remain sole tyre supplier to MotoE World Cup

MADRID: MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has confirmed that Michelin will remain the sole, official tyre supplier to the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup until at least 2024, extending a partnership that was flagged off with the inception of the electric motorcycle series in 2019. 

Michelin’s racing DNA is already showcased by the company’s ongoing tenure as sole tyre supplier to the MotoGP class, which began in 2016, and their commitment to MotoE since the series began.

FIM Enel MotoE releases provisional calendar for 2022 World Cup
MADRID: FIM Enel MotoE has released the provisional 2022 World Cup calendar, with 14 races set to take place at seven events. The Cup will return to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto, Le Mans, the TT Circuit Assen, the Red Bull Ring and Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli next season, as well as visit two new tracks: the classic Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello and the KymiRing in Finland.

MADRID: BMW M GmbH, the 'Official Car of MotoGP', will unveil the new BMW i4 M50 Safety Car for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup at the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich on the 15th of August at the Red Bull Ring.  It will replace the BMW i8 Safety Car, which has previously led the field in the electric motorcycle series.

COVID-19: 3 MotoGP races, MotoE World Cup, cancelled
MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna Sports on Wednesday jointly announced the cancellation of the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (German GP), the Motul TT Assen (Dutch GP) and the Grand Prix of Finland (Finnish GP).  The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has obliged the cancellation of all three events.

MADRID: As the dawn of competition for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup draws closer, the foundations of the newest class in the MotoGP paddock are taking shape.  Following the second MotoE teams meeting at Mugello, commercial rights holder Dorna Sports great has announced Dell’Orto as the official data acquisition partner of MotoE.
