EA Sports announces multi-year partnerships with AC Milan, Inter

NEW YORK: EA Sports has announced exclusive, multi-year partnerships with Serie A clubs AC Milan and Inter, which will commence with the launch of FIFA 21 this October.

The agreement will see the Italian giants feature exclusively in FIFA 21 – meaning the game will boast all-encompassing access to the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri players, kits, training grounds, stadia and so on.

For the first time in AC Milan's history, only in EA SPORTS FIFA will players have the opportunity to wear the red and black shirt in the iconic San Siro stadium.

“This partnership with AC Milan testifies to our commitment to offer an increasingly authentic interactivity experience to sports fans around the world,” said Nick Wlodyka, EA SPORTS FIFA vice president & GM. "Now to offer fans of Milan, a highly prestigious and iconic football club, many years of new interactive experiences."

Casper Stylsvig, AC Milan chief revenue officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome EA SPORTS to the AC Milan family as a premium partner. This partnership symbolizes our commitment to spreading world-class interactive experiences to our fans around the world. We have found in EA SPORTS, market leader in the world of video games, the perfect partner to continue to involve and excite the next generation of AC Milan fans."

Through Kakà and Andriy Shevchenko, AC Milan legends, EA SPORTS FIFA and AC Milan have maintained a strong relationship on and off the pitch for years. AC Milan is currently one of the most popular video game clubs.

The multi-year partnership between FC Internazionale Milano and Electronic Arts will allow both to offer their fans innovative and first-rate entertainment.

“This new agreement with Electronic Arts allows us to offer world-class entertainment to our fans, on and off the pitch” said Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of Inter. “Innovation is at the heart of our strategy and we believe that collaborating with a leader of video games and eSports will help us in our goal of approaching the new generations of football lovers from all over the world “.

“Strategic partnerships with clubs like Inter are crucial for our vision to increase love of sport and, in this case, global football worldwide through authentic interactive experiences,” said Nick Wlodyka, Vice EA SPORTS FIFA President & GM. “Inter are one of the most iconic clubs in the world and we look forward to offering fans an innovative and interactive FIFA experience in the coming years.”

The start of this partnership is already scheduled: the first match, on the field or virtually, of Inter against San Lorenzo, one of the 5 best Argentine clubs, is scheduled for August 19.

FIFA 21 is expected for 9 October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch and presumably in December for the Next Gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X platforms. Continue to follow us also through our social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for other news and information.
