India kho-kho captain signs up with PlayWrite

NEW DELHI: Nasreen Shaikh, the captain of India’s women’s kho-kho team, had been signed up by PlayWrite Foundation, which will manage her commercial interests. 

Nasreen, who represents Delhi, was part of the national team that won Gold in the Asian Championship. 

She was in the news in April when her family was struggling to put food on the table as her father, a utensil-seller, had lost his income due to the coronavirus pandemic-induced lockdown.

Kho-Kho wins official OCA recognition
JAKARTA: After kabaddi, a second "traditional" Indian sport has won recognition from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).  The recognition was granted by the OCA at its general assembly meeting here Sunday, PTI reports. Kho-Kho will now be included as a demonstration sport in the Asian Indoor Games and stands a very good chance to feature in the next Asian Games event, official sources told the newswire.
