SAI announces Fit India Quiz for school students

NEW DELHI: The Sports Authority of India has announced the Fit India Quiz for the school students as part of the Fit India Movement.

As per the information provided, the quiz will be conducted in four rounds - School, Preliminary, State, and National. The prize money offered is Rs 30 milion for both schools and the participants. The Central Board of Secondary Education has asked the affiliated schools for maximum participation. 

Quiz Round Details
The school round will be conducted by the school to register the students for the Preliminary Round while the preliminary round will be a multiple-choice online round conducted in 13 languages by the National Testing Agency. The state round will be conducted by each State/UTs with the support from FIT India Mission amongst Schools qualified after the preliminary round and the national round will be the final round in which the winning team of each State/UT will participate.

Registrations for the Fit India Quiz will commence on July 1, and will continue until July 31. As per the information given, the preliminary round will be conducted online by the National Testing Agency on September 4, while the state round will be conducted in October and the National Round in November. The National round will include Quarter finals, semi-finals, and final round.

The national champion team will receive prize money of Rs 250,000 and the school will receive Rs 2.5 million. The first runner-up team will receive Rs 150,000 and the school will receive Rs 1.5m. The second runner-up team will receive Rs 100,000 and the school will receive Rs 1m. 

A cash prize will also be awarded to the teams and the schools securing the first second and third place in the state round and those who qualify for the state rounds by clearing the preliminary round conducted by the National Testing Agency.
