IPL 2024: Star Sports registers 510m viewers from 51 matches

The Indian Premier League 2024 registered a record 510 million viewers for the first 51 matches of the tournament, broadcaster Disney Star announced, extrapolating data provided by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC). 

This marks a 5% increase compared to the previous high recorded in 2019 for the same number of matches, the network declared. Additionally, the broadcaster asserted it has experienced an 18% increase from the previous edition in terms of total watch time, with viewers spending 356,000 million minutes.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its IPL 2018 player auction list, with 16 marquee players from India and overseas headlining the pool of 578 players that will go under the hammer in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28. With 18 players retained, 182 slots are up for grabs.
