Sony Sports Network Wednesday announced that Indian tennis great Sania Mirza has extended her association as the brand ambassador for tennis that includes Roland Garros, the US Open and Australian Open amongst other tennis properties from the broadcaster’s sports portfolio.

Sania will next be seen as the expert panellist on Sony Sports Network’s flagship studio show Extraaa Serve during the live coverage of Roland Garros.

MUMBAI: Indian tennis legend Vijay Amritraj will be the subject of a feature-length documentary. The untitled film, which is under production, will cover Amritraj’s childhood in India, his tennis career in the 1970s and 1980s, his philanthropic work, and his roles in such films as the James Bond thriller Octopussy and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and the television show What A Country, a press release stated.

June 22:  The ATP has announced that ‘off-court’ coaching will be trialled for the second half of the season. The trial will permit coaching from designated coach seats during qualifying and main draw matches at ATP Tour events, starting from the week of 11 July 2022. The trial will also take place at the US Open and will run through to the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals in Turin in November.

PULA, Croatia: Top 12 Group have partnered with ATP and IMG to launch a new series of tennis events as part of the ATP Champions Tour.  The Legends Team Cup – ATP Champions Tour will pit two teams of tennis legends against each other across three competitive three-day tournaments, with the first event set to take place in Pula, Croatia from 1-4 August.
