The World Badminton Federation has awarded hosting rights for the next edition of the Thomas & Uber Cup Finals and World Junior Championships to Denmark and India respectively.

As already reported, Guwahati’s newly christened National Centre of Excellence will host the World Junior Championships 2025. As for the Thomas & Uber Cup Finals, they have been awarded to the Danish city of Horsens.

It is just the second time that Denmark will stage the BWF World Men’s and Women’s Team Championships following Aarhus in 2021.

Chirag, Satwik to be honoured with Khel Ratna

The Union Sports Ministry on Wednesday put its stamp on the nominations for the annual sports awards, confirming the prestigious Khel Ratna honour for badminton players Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty and the Arjuna award for 26 sports persons, including pacer Mohammed Shami.
