The All Indian Football Federation announced the Premier 1 club licensing results for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. 

Punjab FC is the only club to have received a direct license.

Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 champion Mohun Bagan Super Giant and ISL Cup champion Mumbai City FC received the license with sanctions. Joining them in this category is Kolkata giant East Bengal, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, NorthEast United FC and Mohammedan Sporting, which was promoted to the ISL after it won the I-League this season.

NEW DELHI: The All India Tennis Association announced on Monday the resumption of the domestic tennis circuit from 16th November. The tournaments will initially begin in the age categories of U-12, U-14 and U-16 only. The duration of the tournaments would remain restricted to three days, with a maximum draw of 32 allowed.

NEW DELHI: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju is hopeful that the country will be able to conduct sporting competitions by early next year, reports PTI. Sporting action in India was halted in March, when camps were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past few months, the athletes have resumed training gradually.

KOLKATA: A few Hero I-League clubs, during an online meeting with top officials of the All India Football Federation on Saturday, requested for the start of the league to be pushed back, Times of India reports.  The AIFF had earlier planned to commence this season of the I-League on 28th November. However, this looks unlikely.

MUMBAI: The BCCI is looking to schedule a tour of Sri Lanka for the Indian Women’s team after the women’s IPL (challenger series) to be held from November 4-9 in the UAE.  "There is a bright chance that India will be travelling to Sri Lanka after women's IPL for a three-match ODI and three match T20 series," a senior BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.
