MUMBAI: The bidding war for the Board of Control for Cricket in India media rights has left in its wake the Indian Premier League, till now the gold standard in value terms. And it's not over yet with the bidding process set to resume again at 11 am Thursday as no winner has been confirmed by the end of Wednesday's proceedings.

MELBOURNE: Tennis Australia is set to join forces with the Nine Network after signing an historic new agreement here Thursday. NEW DELHI: International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach will meet the newly-elected members of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) executive board during his brief visit to New Delhi between April 18 to April 20.  Also visiting India during the period will be Sheikh Ahmad Al Sabah, president Association of National Olympic Committees and president Olympic Council of Asia.

RABAT: Morocco will spend a total of $15.8 billion on stadiums and infrastructure if it wins its bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The chairperson of the bid committee Moulay Hafid Elalamy told Moroccan newswiire MAP that $3.2 billion from the total budget would be invested by the private sector.  Morocco is ranged against a joint bid from the US, Mexico and Canada.

MUMBAI: The player auction for the inaugural edition Mumbai Cricket Association’s T20 Mumbai League conducted here at the weekend saw 119 players being bought by the six franchises who will compete in the 2018 season of the league to be played from March 11-21 at the Wankhede stadium.

MUMBAI: Probability Sports, organisers of the upcoming Twenty20 Mumbai League has reportedly run into trouble with one of the six franchises having pulled out.  According to officials involved in the organization of the tournament, Shree Naman Group, which had bought the Mumbai North team, has had a change of mind, Mumbai Mirror reports.
