MUMBAI: Tech Mahindra, which in February first proposed a Global Chess League (GCC), on Friday marked a significant milestone in that journey, announcing a new partnership with the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the parties focuses on creating the GCC together. Now, with the support of FIDE, the league will be provided with an accredited and exclusive status as the only world league officially recognised by the governing body of the sport of chess.
