Jaypee Greens wins golf tourism award

NEW DELHI: Jaypee Hotels and Resorts celebrate new recognition in support of their continuing commitment to national tourism. 

At the National Tourism Awards, held here last week, Jaypee Greens Golf Course, Greater Noida, National Capital Region, received the Best Tourism Friendly Golf Course 2015-16 recognition for the third time. 

The awards were presented by President Ram Nath Kovind and minister of state for tourism (independent charge) & minister of state for electronics & information technology, KL Alphons. 

On receiving the award, Manju Sharma, MD, Jaypee Hotels & Resorts said: "It is an honor to be recognized for the dedicated efforts and initiatives we have taken to promote tourism & hospitality industry. It comes as a great encouragement for the entire team of Jaypee Hotels, who tirelessly endeavor to achieve utmost guest satisfaction by offering services & experience that are par excellence. We thank the Hble Minister of Tourism for the acknowledgment and assure to exceed their expectations in the future as well. 

The event had tourism ministers of states, Central and state government officials, representatives from diplomatic missions, members from the travel and hospitality industries, including leading hoteliers, travel agents and tour operators, travel media and the mainstream media. 

The awards event also included Launch of the Incredible India 2.0 Campaign, launch of Adopt A Heritage Project; and design launch of the Incredible India website. 

These awards, instituted in the early 1990s, are presented to state governments / Union territories, classified hotels, heritage hotels, approved travel agents, tour operators and tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organizations in recognition of their performance in their respective fields and also to encourage healthy competition with an aim to promote tourism.
