Odisha FC were crowned the champions of the Super Cup football tournament after they prevailed over Bengaluru FC 2-1 in the summit showdown at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Tuesday, winning their first ever silverware.

While Brazilian Diego Maurício struck both goals for the winners in the first half, Sunil Chhetri scored from a penalty in the 84th minute to reduce the margin for Bengaluru FC.

BHUBANESWAR: Freshly rebranded Indian Super League franchise Odisha FC was given a warm welcome by The Juggernauts - the fan group of the club - on their arrival in the city on Sunday.  The fans greeted the team with big banners and cheers and the players and officials also obliged the fans. The sixth edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is scheduled to commence from October 20.
