FIM MotoGP World Championship

NEW DELHI: The FIM MotoGP World Championship is coming to India in 2023, NOT 2024, as was earlier indicated by the head honchos at Dorna Sport, MotoGP's commercial rights holders. 

The country will make its debut on the MotoGP calendar next year as MotoGP gets ready to take on Buddh International Circuit.

MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna Sports on Wednesday jointly announced the cancellation of the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (German GP), the Motul TT Assen (Dutch GP) and the Grand Prix of Finland (Finnish GP).  The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has obliged the cancellation of all three events.

EVEN AS THE CORONAVIRUS pandemic is ongoing and has already resulted in revisions to the 2020 calendar for the MotoGP World Championship, including the postponement or rescheduling of a number of events, promoter Dorna Sports has reaffirmed "that racing is our top priority in 2020".

RIO DE JANEIRO: Dorna Sports has confirmed that MotoGP will be returning to Brazil from 2022, with a five-year contract with Rio Motorsports (RMS) securing the sport’s return to Rio de Janeiro until 2026.  The all-new Rio Motorpark, set for construction in Deodoro, will host the Grand Prix, which is back in Rio after 15 years.

MADRID: Dorna Sports Thursday announced a new partnership with Lenovo that will see the global brand become technical partner of the FIM MotoGP World Championship. With the Lenovo Legion gaming brand already a partner of the MotoGP eSport Championship, this new agreement takes the collaboration to new heights.
