WrestleMania generates $165m for NY/NJ region

STAMFORD, Conn.: WWE and New Jersey governor Phil Murphy have announced that WrestleMania 35 generated $165.4 million in economic impact for the New York/New Jersey region this past April, according to a study conducted by the Enigma Research Corporation. 

This marks a more than 60% increase from the $101.2 million generated for WrestleMania 29 in New York and New Jersey, and the eighth consecutive year that WrestleMania generated more than $100 million in economic impact for its host region.

SPN takes 4-language feed to RAW, SmackDown
MUMBAI: After "testing the waters" with WWE's tentpole property WrestleMania, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has announced Tamil and Telugu language feeds for WWE’s leading bread-and-butter properties RAW and SmackDown LIVE. Fans can now tune in every week to SONY TEN 1, SONY TEN 3 and SONY SIX channels for English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu feeds for WWE RAW and Samoa WWE SmackDown LIVE.

WrestleMania 35 sets MetLife Stadium record
MUMBAI: WWE announced that WrestleMania 35 broke the record for MetLife Stadium’s highest-grossing entertainment event. WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza grossed $16.9 million, surpassing the venue’s previous record of $12.3 million set by WrestleMania 29 in 2013 as a sold-out crowd of 82,265 fans from all over the US and 68 countries converged on MetLife Stadium.
