BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.: Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. and World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) Monday announced that they have signed a definitive agreement to form a new, publicly listed company consisting of two complementary, global sports and entertainment brands: UFC and WWE. 

Upon close, Endeavor will hold a 51% controlling interest in the new company and existing WWE shareholders will hold a 49% interest in the new company.

NEW YORK: Vince McMahon stunned the wrestling world at the weekend by announcing his immediate retirement from WWE, his departure coming amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of misconduct against the 76-year-old. McMahon, who has owned WWE since 1982, will no longer serve as the company's chief executive and chairman.
